The Lady in Red

Who may I ask is the lady in red? That, is the question you want slipping delicately off peoples tongues. Red, is a colour I highly recommend you infuse into your wardrobe.  We all have days when we need to feel strong, powerful and dare I say it, sexy.

This stunning waterfall dress by Shona Joy, seemed to jump off the page.  I was not particularly looking for a cocktail dress, however, this one drew me in with the intense red, the plunging neckline and the gorgeous chiffon fabric.

Once on, it fit true to size, hugging all the right spots. Mimicking my every move and I never had to deal with all that pesky adjusting.
The adjustable cross over spaghetti straps locked me in, yes, even when I was climbing across the rocks and lying down on logs. Oh the things we do to get a good picture!

In all seriousness though, Shona Joy, an Australian designer, who is known for her ability to combine sexy chic and quirky fun in all her collections, has now risen to the top of my favorites list and has achieved bookmarked status on my homepage.

I will let you in on a little secret about me: I am addicted to leather jackets.  Shhh don’t tell! I have a slight problem, I may own 3 or 10.  In all honesty you cannot go wrong with one and trust me, even over a delicate chiffon gown, you will look fierce.

Are you curious if I was cold? The answer is yes, so incredibly cold!  It didn’t matter though, I was determined to give this fabulous dress the attention it required.  In between shots I did pop on my tried and true cropped leather jacket, I’m not Wonder Woman after all.

I have always been a sucker for contrasting elements and redefining relationships among outfits and by adding strong ridged lines of a leather coat, you to achieve balance, while adding excitement and drama.

I hope you all pull out that inner boss and flaunt what you have because there is nothing sexier than a woman with confidence. Now if you will excuse me the red lady has to put on those sky high heels and make people whisper.
